Founding Principles

Light Blue is sacred because it represents the open sky under which we all live with no boundaries. Sewatua ReWorld Institute activates the color by recognizing all peoples as valuable, necessary, and equal. We activate this by recognizing our shared commonalities, our shared worlds, and the importance of connection and collective responsibility to care for each other and Mother Earth. We do not recognize geo-political borders as containers of community. Instead we recognize the humanity of people and innate sacred energies that all our relations hold.

We consider re-worlding as a method that transforms the idea of work into a  practice of searching for life.  We adopt this way of being with the understanding that what we do has meaning and impacts others not just ourselves. We are actively creating worlds with and for each other.

Sewatua ReWorld Institute creates opportunities for people of all backgrounds to learn together in order to create new ways of living, learning, and being together—creating new futures with and for all living beings—Mother Earth—our relatives.
We seek to recreate a connected and purposeful life. We adopt this way of being with the understanding that all things are relational. We refuse transactional processes in this work. Rather we strive to foster healthy relationships with land, all land, water, and sky beings seen and unseen, those with whom we know, and those whom we may never meet.
